Inscription on TombstoneIn loving remembrance of Walter Herbert MITCHELL, who was drowned in Evans Bay, on the 12th day of January 1890, aged 20 years. "Not dead but sleepeth" Also Catherine A MITCHELL, mother of the above, and wife of William MITCHELL, died 8 January 1902, aged 72. Sacred to the memory of Alfred Charles MITCHELL, who died on the 9th day of November 1872, aged 14 years 9 months. Also William MITCHELL, husband and father of the above, died 22 November 1902, aged 82.
Description of GraveTwo Mitchell family headstones, both are upright marble memorials. The first, for Alfred has incised lettering and Walter's has a sculpted "roof" top and lead lettering.
