And five of their young children, Lucy, Ernest, Olive, Henrietta & Percival. Also Amelia, died 16 January 1888 aged 34. And Selina, died 20 November 1895 aged 81. Loved mother of William & Amelia.
Description of GraveThe grave is surrounded by a wooden picket fence (in poor condition). The memorial, an upright wooden headboard with painted inscriptions, was restored in 2010 and repainted in 2020.

BiographySelina TINNEY (nee REYNOLDS) was born in Somerset and married William TINNEY. After his death she arrived in New Zealand in 1877 on the "Rakaia". She died at her daughter's residence, Poplar Grove, Thorndon. She was the mother of John TINNEY of Molesworth Street, and two daughters, Mrs Bethell and Mrs Maxton. [Source: NZ Times, 21 Nov 1895]
