BiographyThe death of WILLIAMS (alias James DEVLIN) was reported in The Press, 17 Mar 1891: [Edited] "The NZ Shipping Company's new steamer 'Tekoa' arrived in Wellington from Waitara on 16 March, carrying the body of a fireman named WILLIAMS who had died on board a few hours before. He had been drinking heavily." The BDM entry for his death named him as James DEVLIN, who died 15 Mar 1891, aged 32. He was buried on 17 March.
