RITA ANGUS AND THE BOLTON STREET CEMETERY (January tour completed – watch this space for the next edition)

Join this guided tour on the 55th anniversary of Rita Angus’s death to find out about the Bolton Street Cemetery’s special connection with her sketches and paintings. The well-known artist, who lived nearby in Thorndon, paid close attention to the upheaval around the construction of the urban motorway, and this tour follows the trail of the headstones she sketched and used in her paintings.

The tour starts at the Seddon Memorial, is 1.5 hours duration and ends at the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, lower Bolton Street. Cost $10 per person, children aged 12 and under free; good dogs, on leads, are always welcome.
