Guided Tour: Wonderful Wahine (January tour completed – watch this space for another edition)

Hear entertaining stories of the remarkable women who helped shape Wellington’s history. Learn about their lives as wives, daughters, mothers, and heroines.

Featuring entertaining stories of women – settlers and Māori – who lived in Wellington and helped shape its history, the women were wives, daughters, mothers, housewives and heroines: an artist, a nurse, a teacher and a song-writer, as well as boarding house operators, shopkeepers and inspiring leaders.

This tour starts at 2.00PM from the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, lower Bolton Street, and finishes 1.5 hours later back at the Museum. Cost $10 per person, children aged 12 and under free; good dogs, on leads, are always welcome.
