
This walking tour covers a wide range of aspects of military service of early settlers, of soldiers serving in Wellington, and of their wives and children, and the contributions those with military experience made to the development of the city, to society and to economic development.
The tour traverses the lower part of the cemetery, includes some of the earliest burials, and is easy walking. Tour duration 1.5 hours, starting and ending at the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, lower Bolton Street. Cost $10 per person, children under 12 free, and good dogs on leads always welcome.
