The Friends offered a guided tour, Murder & Mayhem, on Friday 2 October, as part of WCC Spring Festival. This event drew about 60 people, interested in hearing some unusual stories behind the brief inscriptions on headstones, revealing sudden deaths, murders and accidents.
At the AGM of the Friends of Bolton Street Cemetery on 23 June, Jenny Button was elected president. She takes over from Priscilla Williams, who has been president of the Friends since 1995. Priscilla will now be vice-president.
